Community Clean-Up Grants Available

Tuesday, August 23rd, 2016

The Greater Salina Community Foundation is pleased to partner with the Dane G. Hansen Foundation to help facilitate community clean-up grants for 16 counties in the Hansen Foundation’s Northwest Kansas service area. Each county may apply up to $20,000 for a county wide clean-up day.  If applying as an individual community, town or city, clean up grants will be considered at a less amount.  Grant applications will be accepted August 1-June 1 and awarded on a first come, first serve basis.

The objectives of the clean-up grants are to beautify communities for current residents and to help with recruitment of new residents; eliminate financial barrier to clean-up projects such as land fill fees and equipment rental; and promote community pride and encourage volunteerism.

Grants are limited to the following counties: Cloud, Ellis, Ellsworth, Graham, Jewell, Lincoln, Mitchell, Osborne, Ottawa, Phillips, Republic, Rooks, Russell, Saline, Smith and Trego.
