Free professional advisor workshop on June 26

The Greater Salina Community Foundation is hosting a free lunch and seminar for professional advisors at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 26, 2018. It will be held at the foundation office, located on the eighth floor of the United Building, 119 W. Iron Ave., Salina.

“Tax Reform—Its Impact and Planning Strategies,” presented by Julie A. Welch, will provide an overview of tax strategies including the new Tax Cuts and Jobs Act 2017. Advisors will learn about how the new act impacts numerous tax specializations, including individual, corporate and estate tax planning, as well as planning suggestions for their clients 2018. Welch is a certified public accountant, personal financial specialist, certified financial planner and a partner/shareholder with Meara, Welch, Browne in Leawood, Kansas, where she is the director of the firm’s tax department.

This free event is open to all professional advisors in the Salina area. Lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m. and the seminar will begin at 1 p.m. CLE credits for this course are pending.
