Relationship Based Philanthropy

Relationship Based Philanthropy is the practice of building genuine, trust-based partnerships that connect peoples values and passions with opportunities to create a lasting impact. 

This approach to grantmaking is based on collaboration, communication, and transparency between the grants committee and the nonprofit organization.

• Grants are intended to:
  • support programs, services, and initiatives that strengthen our community and create a lasting impact for those we serve
  • fund larger projects aimed at addressing community needs
• Funding Priorities Include:
  • Affordable Housing
  • Childcare Availability
  • Mental Health and Addiction
  • Workforce Development
  • Access to Healthcare

The Committee encourages applications that advances progress toward the priorities identified above by the Community Needs Survey, however they remain committed to supporting projects that strengthen the community in other meaningful ways. 

Grants are limited the Saline County area (with some exception).

There are two RBP grant cycles available each fiscal year.  The timeline of each cycle are listed below:

• Letter of Intent (LOI)
  • Fall Cycle : Open August 1 - 15
  • Spring Cycle : Open February 1 - 15
• Grant Committee Tours
  • Fall Cycle : September
  • Spring Cycle : March
• After tours the grants committee may require additional information or clarification
• Committee Review / Determine Recipients
  • Fall Cycle : October
  • Spring Cycle : April
