For First Bank Kansas, investing in community has been part of doing business since its founding in Salina in 1961. Today, the family-owned, locally managed bank serves six Kansas communities, pairing personal relationships with a commitment to helping those communities thrive.
Its longstanding partnership with the Foundation brings that commitment to life. Through funds held at the Foundation, the bank has supported SculptureTour Salina, Salina Boom Festival, and the Salina Fieldhouse, investments that enhance quality of life, strengthen community connections, and contribute to Salina’s economic vitality.
The bank also invests in education and nonprofit capacity. Since 2006, its scholarship fund has awarded 21 scholarships to Kansas Wesleyan University students pursuing business degrees. As a Foundation Education Partner, it sponsored workshops and learning opportunities for nonprofits and professional advisors.
That same commitment to community extends to its employees. By matching their Match Madness donations, which receive an additional Foundation match, First Bank Kansas helps employees amplify their support for local nonprofits. Through its own generosity and the culture of giving it inspires, First Bank Kansas is making its mark by strengthening the communities it calls home for generations to come.
