Nonprofit Award Profile: OCCK

For more than 50 years, OCCK has partnered with children and adults with short or long-term disabilities in North Central Kansas to offer support services and fulfill their dreams. These services include home health, transportation, vocational training, and much more. Although they are based in Salina, they have a wide net and serve forty counties.

In addition to serving their clients they are a true community partner, operating and managing the CityGo fixed route transit service that covers more than 70 percent of the city, and the 81 connection fixed bus route that serves north-central Kansas with stops between Salina and Belleville. They also organize and support Salina’s only Employment Expo with 40 employers and 600 participants.

OCCK is an active participant in Match Madness and has been a part of the Foundation since June 2000 with a permanent fund that will enable them to continue making a mark in the lives of others.
