Organization Funds provide a vehicle for nonprofit organizations to establish endowments for long-term support. Contributions to these funds come from donors and from the organizations themselves.

Community foundation awards over $60,000 in scholarships

GSCF scholarship recipients at the 2019 Scholarship Recognition Banquet, held at Salina Country Club on May 22. The Greater Salina Community Foundation has awarded over $60,000 in scholarships to area students for the upcoming academic year. The following recipients were recognized at a banquet held at the Salina Country Club on Wednesday, May 22, 2019. The Alice A. Riggs Ell-Saline K-State Scholarship is for graduates of Ell-Saline High School who will attend Kansas State University in Manhattan. Kamdyn Johnson, Salina, received a $1,000 scholarship. Foundation welcomes new staff members

The Greater Salina Community Foundation announces the following new hires: Kora Copas Kora Copas has joined the foundation as a staff accountant. A native of Courtland, Kansas, Copas has a bachelor’s degree in business management and accounting from Kansas Wesleyan University. In her new role, she will support the foundation’s finance department in the areas of gift and grant processing, fund reporting and accounting operations. Prior to GSCF, Copas previously worked in the healthcare accounting field.
