
Summer Grant Cycle Now Open
The Greater Salina Community Foundation is now accepting grant applications for its Summer Grant Cycle. Online applications are due by 11:59 pm on Friday, August 15, 2025.
This cycle will support charitable projects in Saline County that meet one or more of the following criteria:
- Projects that improve the quality of life for Saline County residents.
- Projects that improve the quality of life for the citizens of Assaria, KS.
- Projects or programs that support and encourage healthy living across Saline County.
- Organizations or programs in Saline or Ottawa Counties whose work furthers the care, education, development, health, safety, and human service needs of children aged 0-6 to better prepare them for kindergarten.
- Projects that promote hands-on learning opportunities for school-age youth in the areas of arts, humanities, science, technology, and invention.
- Projects or programs that address arts and culture, community beautification, community social services and security, conservation and environment, education, and health care.
- Projects or programs that provide underserved populations, including but not limited to, underserved and at-risk youth, and teens aging out of foster care.
Funding for the Summer community grant cycle is provided by, the Assaria Community Fund, the Fund for Early Childhood Care, Education and Development, the Kansas Health Foundation Fund for GSCF, the L.P. “Pat” Mullen Fund, the Dane G Hansen Community Grant Fund, and the George & Jeanne Frisbie Family Fund.
The George & Jeanne Frisbie Family Fund is a new fund that aims to provide for the basic needs of underserved populations, including but not limited to, underserved and at-risk youth, and teens aging out of foster care. Programs and projects that provide food, hygiene products, clothing, dental care, and mental health services will be given preference. Funds may also be used to provide educational opportunities.
Grants are limited to communities in Saline County and will be awarded through a competitive application process. Nonprofit organizations, government and public entities, educational institutions, and religious organizations are encouraged to apply. Applications must be submitted online by 11:59 p.m. on August 15. Funding guidelines and the grant application are available at https://gscf.org/grants/
