First Friday - Robert Peck
04/05/2024 04/05/2024 First Friday - Robert Peck Join us on the 8th floor from 4-6PM to check out Robert Peck's sculptures! Robert Peck is a life-long Salina, Kansas native. His fondness for old iron, and working with metal as an amateur blacksmith, led him to create pieces like the “Prairie Grass” series and his table sculptures using old pieces found at farm sales and auctions. The “grass” pieces are repurposed from old hay forks that were destined for the scrap yard, but found new life as blades blowing in the wind. Other works include furniture pieces often inspired by an interesting piece of wood or iron from the industrial era. Always searching for things that spark his interest, Robert rethinks, repurposes and reimagines the items he finds along the highways and byways of Kansas into unique art pieces that evoke memories of times past.
