Donna Vanier loved people and she loved the people of Salina. It was home.

When Donna passed away, she left a gift in her will to the community foundation to create a permanent fund that will forever support the causes that were near and dear to her heart.

When Marcella passed away in 2007, her son Dennis wanted to do something to always remember his mother.

With the money from his inheritance, Dennis and his wife, Martha, decided to establish a scholarship fund in her name to benefit local students with a talent in drawing that wanted to pursue a degree in an art field.

Child Care Aware of Kansas has dedicated its community foundation endowment to scholarships for child care providers who want to further their education.

Since opening in July 2017, the new Salina Fieldhouse has hosted many events, including an indoor farmer’s market and the Greater Salina Community Foundation’s Match Madness.

During their lifetimes, founding donors Harry and Sara Huber established a Fund for the Future at the Greater Salina Community Foundation.

Their legacy will live on forever supporting the charities closest to their hearts.
