Larry and Millie Triplett Scholarship Fund

Larry and Millie Triplett were Founding Donors of the Greater Salina Community Foundation. During Larry’s lifetime, they supported many local nonprofits through a donor advised fund. After his passing in 2019, the family transformed the fund into a permanent scholarship fund honoring Larry’s legacy of hard work and grit.

The Larry and Millie Triplett Scholarship Fund supports students up to age 30 in the 9-county service area of Triplett, Inc. Where there’s a 24/7 Travel store, you will likely find a student impacted by this scholarship.
Recipients must be enrolled in a full-time course of study in Kansas, have a minimum GPA of 2.75 and possess a strong work ethic. Preference is given to those with financial need and plans to return to the Triplett, Inc. service area. Prior recipients may also reapply as part of the total applicant pool.

Since 2024, the fund has awarded $192,900 in scholarships to 47 students attending a mixture of two-year or four-year post-secondary institutions ranging from barber school to medical school, making a mark on the future leaders of our region.
