Legacy Award: Larry Britegam

Larry Britegam served as one of the ten founding board members of the Foundation, serving a total of five years on the board. When forming the Foundation, Larry had the idea for the Foundation’s outside investment manager program. For $25,000 or more, donors can request that their financial advisor manage their fund on behalf of the Foundation. This enables financial advisors to continue their client relationships and gives donors more investment options.

Larry’s idea to partner with financial advisors, has grown to include 15 outside investment managers, managing over $40M for 50 different donor funds. Larry has continued to support the Foundation by establishing the Salina Youth Baseball Fund, the Foundation’s first field of interest fund; creating a permanent scholarship fund in memory of his grandparents John and Alfred Ritter; and designating a portion of his estate to the Foundation. Through his banking career, he has also helped support charitable giving workshops as an Education Partner and the Give Back 5 Community Giving Pledge.
