Salina Grace
The mission of Salina Grace is to share God’s love by meeting people in the middle of their brokenness and walking with them toward healing. What began in 2017 as a winter-only shelter for individuals unable to stay at other facilities has grown into a year-round community resource center serving those facing homelessness in Salina.
In January 2022, Salina Grace opened its Community Resource Center at 142 S. Seventh St. in downtown Salina to provide a single location where individuals in crisis could receive immediate assistance through community navigators and partnerships with local agencies. The center wraps the services around the individual, removing barriers such as transportation challenges, and is the only one of its kind in North Central Kansas.
In its first two years, Salina Grace grew from serving 570 individuals annually to over 800, providing coordinated care, day shelter services, hot meals, showers, laundry and donated clothing. In 2024, Salina Grace moved to its permanent home at 315 S. Broadway, expanding its capacity and welcoming on-site offices for partners such as Central Kansas Mental Health Center, People In Need, CKF Addiction Treatment, Salina Family Healthcare Center, and others.
Salina Grace is also an active participant in Match Madness and holds a permanent organization fund at the Greater Salina Community Foundation, ensuring long-term sustainability. With a foundation rooted in dignity, collaboration, and faith, Salina Grace continues to make a lasting mark on the lives of Salina’s most vulnerable residents.
