The Greater Salina Community Foundation is now accepting applications for Dane G. Hansen Foundation Community Clean-up Grants. Applicants could receive up to $10,000 for a community clean-up project within the Hansen service area. Grants are designed to assist with efforts to beautify communities for current residents and to help with recruitment of new residents; to eliminate the financial barrier to clean-up projects such as land fill fees and equipment rental; and to promote community pride and encourage volunteerism. Story written by: Gary Demuth, Salina Journal The next three years are going to be a prosperous time for local artists and residents of north Salina, thanks to a financial windfall from the Greater Salina Community Foundation. The Foundation, through the Dane G. Hansen Foundation Community Grant Fund and the Fund for Greater Salina, has awarded large, multi-year grants to two Salina development projects.
