About the Fund
The Gypsum Valley Community Foundation Fund was established to support local charitable community needs of Gypsum, KS, by a local group of volunteers who formed the Gypsum Valley Community Foundation. Their mission is to give back to the Gypsum community in order to preserve and grow it for this generation and for generations to come, giving those who grew up here a reason to stay and to inspire others to come to the Gypsum Valley community.
A local advisory board meets throughout the year to award grants to charitable community projects.

What does the fund support?
- Charitable projects that improve the quality of life for the citizens of Gypsum, KS.
Past projects include summer youth programs, ball field improvements, a book walk and Southeast of Saline Trap Team.
Grant Story: Gypsum Summer Youth Program
$6,000 has been awarded to the Gypsum Summer Youth Program since 2021. This has enabled them to hire quality teachers and provide a wide range of experiences for the children. They have done community service projects such as watering flower planters on main street and picking up trash, as well as field trips to the Rolling Hill Zoo and Maxwell Game Preserve.
